The Journey
Tingting Gu, PhD graduated with bachelor's degree in gemology from China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Dr. Gu completed a PhD degree in geology with a joint program between Carnegie Institution of Washington (Geophysical Lab) and Peking University under the dual mentorship of Dr. Yingwei Fei and Dr. Shan Qin. She then pursued her geoscience study at Yale University, HPSTAR, and Gemological Institute of America. Dr. Gu joined the faculty of Purdue University in the department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) as an adjunct assistant professor in 2021.
